It’s a cozy day here in the Methow Valley. I woke up to a fresh layer of snow and mule deer gently foraging around our house. It is peaceful, but I am also feeling some anticipation. Despite it being the middle of winter, there is the promise of beginnings in the air today.
Maybe it is the moon conjunct the North Node in Aries trine Venus in Sag that, as I write, is sparking some enthusiasm for future endeavors. Maybe it is the Sun nearing its conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn just before they both ingress to Aquarius on Saturday. I’m sure we are all sensing this upcoming energetic shift on some level.
The sun is also squaring the Galactic Center, so just before this influx of Aquarian energy, we are being asked to first assimilate some cosmic information . . . kind of like installing critical updates before downloading new Aquarian software.
It should be a gentle easy process since the Sun is sextile Neptune in Pisces, which allows our consciousness to expand, imagine, and integrate new possibilities. Saturn in Pisces sextile both Mercury/Mars in Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus has us wanting to ground this energy into reality with new thoughts and action steps.
Of course, there are some challenging aspects today. There always are. But, I'm just not feeling them at the moment, so I'll let them be.
Today, let yourself daydream. But instead of dismissing the daydream as an impractical frivolity, think about how you might begin preparing for a new reality. Little things can make a big difference. My personal Aquarian dream is to write these astro/tarot blogs more regularly. And it is a dream rather than a left-brained ambition, resolution, or goal. It is a dream because it simply makes me feel whole and happy . . . with no pressure-inducing endgame in sight. So last night, I bought three beautiful new tarot decks. It was a humble vision followed by a minor thought and a small gesture. But it felt so, so delicious. Having more reverence for the lovely sensation coming from a simple daydream allows me to linger in its magic. What would happen if we all spent more time honoring our daydreams and lingering in magic? This will also be an important consideration for the full moon in Leo on the 24th.
I pulled the Bear card from the Pocket Animal Spirit deck by Kim Krans. Her key phrases for this card are “Awakening from Spiritual Slumber” and “Beginning Anew.” It is cold, and winter is deep, but I know something is stirring beneath the snow.
With Love and Moonlight,
Ann
