Jupiter conjunct the South Node

This post comes a bit late as Jupiter was exactly conjunct the South Node last Wednesday. But, hindsight is 2020, right? So, as all of my attention was placed on the eclipses and the Pluto-Saturn conjunction, I didn't spend much time mulling the fact that Jupiter and the South Node have been hanging out like two wily kids behind the school.
The South Node represents energy patterns that have been so overplayed that they have become distorted and unhealthy. In the sign of Capricorn, this can represent judgment, competition, rigidity, an over-reliance on old societal institutions, dogmatic authority, an "ends justify the means" mentality, etc. Jupiter is a great expander. He will amplify, magnify, and exaggerate whatever he comes across, allowing us to either enjoy the fruits of our labors or finally see unhealthy patterns that need to evolve. In this case, the latter is more likely. If you experienced the dark side of Capricorn last week, don't waste the pain. Instead, take a hard look, and determine if it holds a perspective that has passed its expiration date.
Cards of the Day: Well, these couldn't have been more perfect. The 6 of Cups reversed is about clinging to past patterns, behaviors, and stories that don't serve you well. These unhealthy perspectives can be societally generated or part of your specific family lineage. The 2 of Wands upright is asking whether you want to stick with what you know (note the wand bolted to the stone turret) or venture into new, uncharted territory. His hand is clearly on the untethered wand, and his gaze is off into the distance. The answer is pretty clear, folks.
